Every contribution submitted to TertiaSync is subject to review before it becomes publicly available through the Archive.

By submitting material to TertiaSync, you agree to these Contribution Rules and the TertiaSync Terms of Use.

ARTICLE 01

PURPOSE OF CONTRIBUTIONS

The TertiaSync contribution system allows students to help build a useful and dependable academic resource archive.

Contributions may help students:

•prepare for examinations;

•access previous academic materials;

•find relevant academic resources;

•preserve useful study materials; and

•support academic collaboration.

MVP Contribution Types

During the MVP, TertiaSync accepts the following resource categories:

TertiaSync may approve, reject, classify, restrict, or remove submitted material when reasonably necessary.

Complete textbooks and other complete third-party publications are not accepted as ordinary contribution types during the MVP.

ARTICLE 02

CONTRIBUTION ELIGIBILITY

To contribute, you must:

•have a valid TertiaSync account;

•provide accurate information required for your submission;

•submit material relevant to the academic purpose of TertiaSync; and

•comply with these Contribution Rules and the Terms of Use.

Having an account does not guarantee that every submission will be accepted.

TertiaSync may restrict or remove a user's contribution privileges where the contribution system is abused.

ARTICLE 03

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Contributors should:

•submit clear and readable files;

•select the appropriate institution, faculty, department, level, course, and academic session where applicable;

•ensure submitted files are complete to the extent reasonably possible;

•provide accurate metadata;

•use descriptive file names where appropriate; and

•submit materials relevant to TertiaSync's academic purpose.

Contributors must not:

knowingly submit fake or manipulated academic materials;

knowingly submit corrupted or unusable files;

repeatedly submit the same material as duplicates;

submit offensive, abusive, malicious, or unrelated content;

deliberately mislabel academic materials;

submit materials intended to mislead students;

spam the contribution system; or

knowingly submit material in violation of another person's copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or other legal rights.

ARTICLE 04

RIGHTS AND OWNERSHIP OF SUBMITTED MATERIAL

Submitting material to TertiaSync does not automatically transfer ownership of that material to TertiaSync.

A contributor's possession of a physical or digital copy of a material does not, by itself, establish ownership of the copyright or an unrestricted right to reproduce or distribute the material.

The absence of a copyright notice, ownership statement, or reproduction restriction on an uploaded file does not by itself mean that the material is free from copyright or other rights restrictions.

Contributors should not knowingly submit material where doing so would violate another person's copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or other legal rights.

Where TertiaSync receives a credible concern regarding the rights associated with a contribution, the Platform may review, restrict, or remove the material.

TertiaSync does not claim ownership of a contribution merely because it has been submitted or published on the Platform.

ARTICLE 05

PLATFORM USE OF APPROVED CONTRIBUTIONS

When a contribution is approved, TertiaSync may store, process, organize, index, display, and make the approved material available through the Platform as necessary to operate the Archive and related services.

Approval of a contribution does not mean that:

•TertiaSync owns the underlying material;

•the contributor owns the underlying material;

•the material is free from third-party rights; or

•TertiaSync has independently verified every copyright or ownership issue associated with the material.

TertiaSync may restrict or remove a contribution when necessary to address rights concerns, policy violations, or other legitimate Platform requirements.

ARTICLE 06

MODERATION AND VERIFICATION

Every contribution is subject to review before publication.

Depending on the type of resource, moderation may consider:

relevancereadabilitycompletenessauthenticity indicatorscorrect academic classificationinstitution, faculty, department, level, course, and session informationduplicate statusacademic usefulnesscompliance with Platform rulesapparent copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights concerns

TertiaSync may:

•approve submissions;

•reject submissions;

•request corrections;

•remove duplicates;

•correct metadata;

•restrict access;

•remove published material; or

•restrict a contributor's access to the contribution system.

Approval means that the material has passed TertiaSync's applicable moderation requirements. Approval does not constitute a determination of copyright ownership or a guarantee that the material is free from third-party rights.

ARTICLE 07

DUPLICATE AND LOW-QUALITY SUBMISSIONS

Duplicate or low-quality submissions may be rejected or removed.

Examples include:

blurry or unreadable scansincomplete documentsincorrect academic informationirrelevant materialsduplicate uploadsfiles that cannot reasonably be used by students

Depending on the circumstances, TertiaSync may:

•award no Aura Points;

•issue a warning;

•request correction;

•temporarily restrict contribution privileges; or

•take other appropriate action.

ARTICLE 08

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

TertiaSync exists to support legitimate academic preparation.

Contributors must not use the contribution system to:

facilitate examination malpractice;

distribute materials for the purpose of cheating during an examination;

impersonate lecturers, examiners, staff, or institutional officials;

deliberately spread false academic information;

manipulate academic materials to mislead students; or

misuse contributor privileges.

Serious or repeated violations may result in suspension or permanent loss of contribution privileges and/or account access.

ARTICLE 09

AURA POINTS

TertiaSync may award Aura Points for qualifying contributions.

Aura Points may be awarded after successful moderation and approval.

Aura Points are:

•internal TertiaSync platform units;

•not money;

•not Naira;

•not redeemable for cash;

•not transferable between users unless TertiaSync expressly enables such functionality; and

•not a financial asset or guaranteed monetary entitlement.

During the MVP, Aura Points may be used only for features and rewards that TertiaSync has actually made available.

TertiaSync may introduce additional Aura Point uses in the future.

TertiaSync may change the number of Aura Points awarded for different contribution types.

ARTICLE 10

AURA POINT ADJUSTMENTS

TertiaSync may correct, remove, or adjust Aura Points where they were:

•awarded incorrectly;

•generated through duplicate submissions;

•obtained through spam;

•obtained through manipulation or abuse;

•associated with fraudulent activity; or

•earned through violations of the Terms or Contribution Rules.

Aura Points associated with a deleted user account will not remain available as an active user balance after account deletion.

ARTICLE 11

ACADEMIC RESOURCE RESTRICTIONS

TertiaSync may restrict or reject materials that appear to be:

•complete textbooks or other complete third-party publications;

•materials expressly marked as prohibited from reproduction or distribution;

•confidential or restricted academic materials;

•materials containing significant personal or sensitive information belonging to others;

•malicious or harmful files; or

•materials otherwise unsuitable for the TertiaSync Archive.

The absence of a restriction notice does not automatically establish that a material is unrestricted.

ARTICLE 12

CONTRIBUTOR TRUST AND REPUTATION

TertiaSync may maintain internal records relating to contribution activity to help protect the reliability of the Archive.

These may include:

approved submissionsrejected submissionscontribution historymoderation outcomesabuse reportsother relevant contribution activity

TertiaSync may use such information to determine whether additional contribution privileges or restrictions are appropriate.

Any future reputation or contributor-recognition system will be governed by rules applicable when that system is introduced.

ARTICLE 13

REPORTING CONTRIBUTIONS

Users may report contributions they reasonably believe contain:

•false or misleading academic material;

•incorrect course information;

•duplicate content;

•inappropriate material;

•suspected copyright infringement;

•privacy violations;

•malicious content; or

•other violations of TertiaSync rules.

Reports should be made honestly and in good faith.

Knowingly submitting false reports or deliberately abusing the reporting system may result in restrictions on the reporting user's account.

TertiaSync may investigate reports and take appropriate action based on the information reasonably available.

ARTICLE 14

COPYRIGHT AND RIGHTS-RELATED REQUESTS

If you believe a contribution infringes your copyright or another applicable right, you may contact:

TertiaSync may request sufficient information to identify the material and evaluate the complaint.

Where appropriate, TertiaSync may:

•temporarily restrict access to the material;

•remove the material;

•contact the contributor;

•request additional information; or

•take other reasonable action.

Contributors may be subject to account restrictions where they repeatedly submit material that is found to infringe the rights of others.

ARTICLE 15

CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACCOUNT DELETION

When a user deletes their TertiaSync account, data and contributions associated with that user will be deleted as part of the account deletion process, subject to any limited retention that may be required by law or necessary for legitimate security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other lawful purposes described in the TertiaSync Data Policy.

Deletion of an account does not transfer ownership of any material to TertiaSync.

ARTICLE 16

PLATFORM RIGHTS

TertiaSync reserves the right to:

modify contribution requirementschange moderation proceduresapprove or reject submissionscorrect metadataremove contributionsrestrict contributor privilegesadjust Aura Points where appropriateintroduce additional anti-abuse measuressuspend contribution accessdiscontinue the contribution system or specific contribution features

Where material changes affect contributor rights or obligations, TertiaSync may provide appropriate notice.

ARTICLE 17

ACCEPTANCE

By submitting material through TertiaSync, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Contribution Rules and the TertiaSync Terms of Use.

You understand that:

•submitting a contribution does not automatically transfer ownership to TertiaSync;

•possessing a copy of a material does not necessarily establish copyright ownership or unrestricted redistribution rights;

•contributions are subject to moderation;

•approval does not constitute a determination of copyright ownership;

•TertiaSync may restrict or remove materials where appropriate; and

•Aura Points are internal Platform units and do not represent money or cash value.
