Welcome to TertiaSync ("TertiaSync," "we," "our," or "us").
These Terms govern your access to and use of the TertiaSync website, application, academic resources, account features, contribution system, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated into them, including the TertiaSync Data Policy and Contribution Rules.
These Terms are effective from November 14, 2026.
TertiaSync is currently intended for undergraduate students enrolled at Nigerian tertiary institutions, while eligibility may be expanded or changed as the Platform develops.
By using TertiaSync, you confirm that:
TertiaSync may restrict or terminate access where it reasonably determines that an account does not meet the applicable eligibility requirements.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering for and maintaining your TertiaSync account.
Depending on the Platform's requirements, this may include your name, email address, institution, faculty, department, level, matriculation number, or other academic information.
You must not:
You are responsible for keeping your account information reasonably up to date.
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account.
You should notify TertiaSync promptly if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorization.
TertiaSync is not responsible for losses resulting solely from your failure to reasonably protect your account credentials, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
TertiaSync is a student academic success platform designed to help undergraduate students organize their studies, access academic resources, and prepare effectively for examinations.
The MVP may provide features including:
A personalized interface for accessing relevant academic information and TertiaSync tools.
A searchable archive of past examination questions and other academic resources made available through the Platform. Materials may be submitted by users and are subject to the applicable contribution and moderation procedures.
A tool for calculating CGPA based on academic information entered by the user. TertiaSync calculations are intended for academic planning and should be checked against official institutional records and grading rules.
Tools for organizing academic schedules and related activities.
Tools for tracking upcoming examinations and relevant academic dates.
Notifications relating to Platform activity, academic information, reminders, or other available functionality.
Features that allow users to manage information associated with their TertiaSync accounts.
Eligible users may submit academic materials for review in accordance with the TertiaSync Contribution Rules.
TertiaSync may award Aura Points for qualifying activities, including approved contributions. Aura Points are internal Platform units and are not money or a financial instrument.
TertiaSync may introduce, modify, or discontinue features as the Platform develops.
TertiaSync provides academic resources and tools intended to support learning, organization, and examination preparation.
Academic materials available through TertiaSync may contain errors, omissions, incorrect classifications, outdated information, or other inaccuracies. Academic information, including examination dates, course structures, timetables, and departmental announcements, may not be current as of a particular date. Moderation or approval of a contribution does not necessarily mean that the material is officially issued by an institution or guaranteed to be completely accurate.
Users should verify important academic information through official institutional sources, lecturers, departments, course materials, or other appropriate authoritative sources.
Institutional Affiliation Disclaimer
TertiaSync is an independent platform. We are not officially operated, endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with LAUTECH or any other institution simply because that institution's information appears on the Platform, unless an official relationship is expressly stated.
TertiaSync does not guarantee:
TertiaSync is an academic support platform and does not replace official institutional guidance, academic records, or requirements.
TertiaSync allows eligible users to submit academic materials for consideration in the Platform's academic archive.
When submitting material, you represent that, to the best of your knowledge:
Possessing a copy of a document does not necessarily mean that you own the copyright in that document or have authority to authorize its distribution.
Submitting material to TertiaSync does not automatically transfer ownership of that material to TertiaSync.
The copyright and other rights in submitted material remain with the applicable rights holder unless otherwise provided by law or a separate agreement.
Where a contribution is accepted for publication, the contributor authorizes TertiaSync, to the extent the contributor has the legal authority to grant such authorization, to perform the activities reasonably necessary to operate the contribution system and make the approved material available through the Platform.
These activities may include storing, processing, organizing, displaying, indexing, and distributing the approved material through TertiaSync's services.
This authorization does not give TertiaSync ownership of the contributor's underlying intellectual property.
TertiaSync may review, approve, reject, restrict, classify, or remove submitted material. A submission does not guarantee publication.
TertiaSync may remove or restrict material where it reasonably believes that the material:
Aura Points are internal Platform units that may be awarded for qualifying activities, including approved contributions.
Aura Points:
TertiaSync may establish or change the rules governing how Aura Points are earned and used; such changes will generally apply prospectively. However, TertiaSync may immediately correct, remove, or adjust Aura Points where they resulted from technical errors, fraud, abuse, manipulation, duplicate submissions, or other improper activity.
You agree not to:
Depending on the nature and seriousness of a violation, TertiaSync may remove content, restrict features, issue warnings, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts.
TertiaSync respects copyright and other intellectual property rights.
If you believe that material available through TertiaSync infringes your copyright or other applicable rights, you may contact us through:

TertiaSync may review, restrict, or remove reported material where appropriate. Where a contributor repeatedly submits material that is found to infringe the rights of others, TertiaSync may restrict or terminate the contributor's account.
Users may report material or activity that they reasonably believe violates these Terms, the Contribution Rules, or applicable law.

Reports should be submitted honestly and in good faith.
Knowingly submitting fabricated reports or deliberately abusing the reporting system may itself violate these Terms.
TertiaSync may investigate reports and take appropriate action based on the information reasonably available to it.
TertiaSync may temporarily restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where reasonably necessary to:
Where appropriate, TertiaSync may provide warnings or an opportunity to correct a violation. However, immediate restrictions may be applied where necessary to protect users, systems, content, or legal rights.
You may request deletion of your TertiaSync account through available account settings or the designated support channel.
Account deletion may affect access to your account, contributions, Aura Points, and other account-related functionality.
Deleting an account does not necessarily mean every previously accepted contribution is automatically removed from TertiaSync, particularly where TertiaSync has a lawful reason to retain or continue making particular content available. Such retention operates in accordance with the TertiaSync Data Policy and Contribution Rules.
Certain information may be retained where necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement of rights, or other purposes described in the TertiaSync Data Policy.
TertiaSync is provided on an ongoing basis, but we do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, browser, or network.

TertiaSync may also discontinue the Platform or particular features where reasonably necessary.
Where changes materially affect users' rights or obligations, TertiaSync may provide notice or update these Terms as appropriate.
AS-IS Provision
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TertiaSync is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
TertiaSync does not guarantee that:
TertiaSync is not responsible for academic decisions made solely on the basis of information obtained through the Platform.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TertiaSync will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable Nigerian law.
TertiaSync processes personal information in accordance with its Data Policy.
The Data Policy explains the categories of personal information TertiaSync collects, why it is processed, how it may be shared, how long it may be retained, security practices, and applicable data-subject rights.
The Data Policy forms part of TertiaSync's overall policy framework.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to mandatory rights and protections applicable under Nigerian law.
If a dispute arises concerning these Terms or use of the Platform, the parties should first attempt to resolve the matter in good faith through informal communication.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a user from exercising a legal right or contacting a competent regulatory authority where applicable.
Any formal dispute-resolution mechanism adopted by TertiaSync will operate subject to applicable Nigerian law.
TertiaSync may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, legal requirements, security practices, or operational policies.
When changes are made, TertiaSync may update the effective or last-updated date and provide additional notice where appropriate.
For material changes, TertiaSync may provide notice through the Platform or another reasonable communication channel.
Where permitted by applicable law, continued use of TertiaSync after an updated version becomes effective may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to material changes, you should stop using the Platform and may request deletion of your account.
